I’m very pleased and honored to share this inverted cross skull frame illustration for MORTUARY DRAPE (Italy)—one of my favorite bands since the early 90s. For those who are unaware, MORTUARY DRAPE helped to define the Mediterranean black metal sound with their occult nuances and eerie passages. One of the darkest sounding bands to ever exist, in my opinion. The illustration appears on the digipak version of their new recording, “Spiritual Independence,” a throw-back to the sound of their early years. This effort was published by Iron Tyrant (Italy).
