I believe that talent is inherited. Although I do have architects, a  sumi-e painter, and a comic book artist on both sides of my family, probably the most well-known and talented of my relatives is Samuel Morse. Yes, the inventor of Morse Code, who was also an incredible painter inspired by Neo-Classical traditions. I’ve included some of his work below. Here is a 7″ record cover I just finished for Doomentia Records. The illustration was commissioned for a split between SWARMING (Finland/Sweden), a new band featuring members of PHLEGETHON, HOODED MENACE, CLAWS, ACID WITCH, PAGANIZER, RIBSPREADER, PUTREVORE, etc., and ZOMBIE RITUAL (Japan)…alcohol-inspired death/thrash/grind at its best! Be on the lookout for this release, it’s sure to be an underground classic.

I recently completed an illustration for Ancient Spirit Web zine. Ancient Spirit used to be an underground print death/black metal ‘zine from Germany but has in recent years held a strong Internet presence as a Web ‘zine. It’s also noteworthy that the editors of Ancient Spirit are behind the devout death metal label Cyclone Empire Records, who have publish such great acts as FUNEBRARUM, EVOCATION, THE GROTESQUERY, PAGANIZER, etc.
