Dark Descent Records (USA) will be publishing the early demo recordings from American death/doom metal band, MORGION, on CD format this year. MORGION drummer, Rhett Davis (also of GRAVEHILL), solicited me for the cover artwork, depicted below.

Yes, it’s true…I’ve managed to arrange a collaborative art piece with notorious illustrator Vincent Locke, whose work has graced every CANNIBAL CORPSE album cover in their discography. Vincent and I conjured this piece for a split 7″ record, entitled “In Quarantine with Death,” between my band, MACABRA, and well-known death/doom metal fiends COFFINS, from Japan!  This 7″ will be highly collectible and released in limited quantity jointly by Horror, Pain, Gore, Death Productions and Morbid Visions Music (USA). The record will come packaged with a logo button from each band, lyric sheet, obi, and 18″x24″ poster of the cover artwork, and in three different colored vinyl editions. This slab of obscure death metal will be available in May.

MACABRA, my new death metal collaboration with Belgian vocalist, Adrien “Liquifier” Weber (CONJURATOR, ALIENANTE DAMNATION, VOCIFERIAN, GOATHOLOCAUST, etc.) has been published in digipak format, with logo button, and 11″ x 17″ poster/lyric sheet via Metalhit.com. The album, which has been very well-received thus far, is a throw back to the early 90s demo tape days of the underground death metal scene. Expect nothing more and nothing less…ancient death metal worship by two veterans of the scene. The album features exclusive cover artwork by Halsey “Halseycaust” Swain, known from her work with TOXIC HOLOCAUST, EVIL ARMY, GERM BOMB, etc.  You can order MACABRA’s debut by following these links.

The CD edition of my third full-length recording, under the FETID ZOMBIE moniker, has been unleashed by cult Japanese underground label, Deathrash Armageddon! The CD edition of “Carrion Christ” features 10 blasphemous hymns of unpolished and unrelenting  death thrash. The CD features alternate cover artwork  from the cassette version (published by Bloodline Productions, Thailand), additional full-wrap obi artwork, alternate track listing, and guest appearances by NUNSLAUGHTER, GRAVEWURM, and YAMATU. “Carrion Christ” will be available from distributors like Hell’s Headbangers, Nuclear War Now, Chalice of Blood Angel, etc. soon. I was recently invited to contribute an original piece to the “Gripper Heat” skateboard art exhibit in Israel, on display March 15th. I accepted the opportunity because I saw it as a unique challenge and as a way to share my unholy art once again in the heart of the holy land. The exhibit features original artwork created on grip tape, a sand paper-like textured film used on skateboard decks. I had to get the acrylic paint out for this one…see below.
