I Trust Sakura Pens

I frequently receive inquiries about what pens I use to illustrate with. I’ve used several different kinds of pens throughout my career as a freelance illustrator but my top choice is Sakura brand pens. I typically utilize the 005 and 01 size nibs for the majority of my inking but also use the other various sizes the Sakura Micron set has to offer (including the brush on occasion). To color over the black areas of my art, I use Sakura’s white medium-size Gelly Roll pen. Their products offer a clean stroke and are comfortable to manipulate.
